English Language Challenges

Hi classmates and teacher, I hope you had a great weekend :) Finally this is the last blog post! 

Today, this blog is about English at the university and the use of blogs in class.

Regarding my experience with learning English, this is my second semester having this class.

During this semester I felt different about the contents, because the teacher had to put important significance to social and political content, always promoted the principals skills for learning a second language, these skills being speaking, reading, listening and writing. 

I don't remember classes being this way last semester, they were only focused on the contents, so I think this way to guide the class was very significant to learn different skills and vocabulary.

Now, regarding the blogs personally i didn't like to write them, maybe it's a good strategy to develop writing, but it wasn't my favorite part of the class. 

I definitely need to improve reading, this was the skill I failed the most and it was the most difficult for me because I have trouble understanding what I am reading, especially articles the teacher gave in class. I think it would be better if I try to read more in English, but I know that it would be difficult because I am too lazy.

Outside the class, I use English with my sister, she is an English teacher and always help me to correct pronunciation when I sing songs or I have doubts about words I listened to in movies or social media, etc. Also she often forgets words or phrases in Spanish when we talk ahhah, so I help her to remember the words or understand the context about what she is saying and translate to my mom haha. So I think I am always practicing with her.
